In this journal I'll explain in more detail the contruction process of the voyager model: Phase 1: 1999-2001 When first attempting to construct a Federation star ship, I chose the obvious flagship the USS Enterprise, but soon lack of expertise made me abort this project. When confronted with the Voyager series, the sleek design soon caught my eye and I started building this model. At this time the internet was not so easily accessible for me, so I only had the tv shows to fall back on. I started a rebuilding of the model, to get the proportion and placement of all the parts more right. Will take some time, but the pics of phase 3 provided, give the starting condition. The nacelles are placed to high, the rear is extended 1,5 cm too far (that was a pain in the..) The aft deck was placed 1 cm too high. The bottom has to be flattened out, the bridge section has to be placed 1 cm to the rear and the saucer section has to be rebuild entirely to get the increment of the hull right and incorparate some more detail, such as windows placement.
